Centralized Bridge
A cross-chain service controlled by an operator or limited validator group; using it does not automatically indicate illicit activity.
What does it mean?
Medium-risk category group
A cross-chain service controlled by an operator or limited validator group; using it does not automatically indicate illicit activity.
The 14 categories in the AML4Tracker risk methodology, explained with documented examples. The groups below describe that taxonomy; they are not universal legal classifications or the numerical bands of a live report. Availability depends on the report and data provider.
How is this concept used?
A bridge moves or represents value across chains. An operator or limited validator group may control important functions. Transfers on the two chains can use different contracts, representations and transaction identifiers.

WBTC: custody-backed cross-chain representation
WBTC’s official overview describes custodian-held BTC supporting tokens across smart-contract chains. This illustrates a custodial design, not wrongdoing, verified current reserves or the identity of every connected wallet.

Binance Bridge 2.0: dated trusted-bridge design
Binance’s March 2022 launch described an account-integrated trusted bridge between Ethereum and BNB Smart Chain. This historical operator-dependent design example does not establish current availability or wrongdoing by users.

Connection to a wallet report
Identify the source chain, destination chain, bridge mechanism and matching evidence. A cross-chain movement is not necessarily a sale or a new beneficial owner.
A common misconception
Using a centralized bridge does not automatically imply illicit activity or prove that two addresses have the same owner.
